The Tree Council is the lead tree campaigning charity, an umbrella body for over 150 UK organisations working to promote the importance of trees within the changing environment.
Founded in 1974 to improve the environment in town and country by promoting the planting and conservation of trees and woods.
The Tree Council works towards:

- More trees, of the right kind, in the right places
- Better care for all trees, of all ages
